STEERING

Controlling any McCormick series X8 tractor is as easy as driving a passenger car. The steering system has a separate hydraulic pump operating at 115 l/min.

Adaptive steering provides feedback so that you can always feel confident driving on public roads.

The PREMIUM version offers EazySteer functionality that reduces the number of steering wheel revolutions to one. It is very convenient for active maneuvering around the farm shop or inside a warehouse.

The PREMIUM version comes with an electric servo for precise adjustment of the steering wheel column position to your grip.

The digital dashboard is informative and easy to read in daylight and at nighttime.

Turning “the ground” on and off in a McCormick X8 tractor is as easy as turning the corresponding switch, no need to leave the cabin.

The EFFICIENT and PREMIUM versions of X8 VT-Drive are outfitted with a multi-functional electronic control module for tractor systems called Easy Pilot that is built into an ergonomic armrest.

The operator can control the distribution valves and the gearbox, change the settings for the hydraulic system, the engine and the transmission, program up to five different operation scenarios for systems and mechanisms, as well as do a lot more in no time at all.

The digital Data Screen Manager system is an essential companion for every owner of the X8 VT—DRIVE tractor in EFFICIENT and PREMIUM versions.

CABIN. A SOLID LEVEL FOR A BASE CONFIGURATION

The basic configuration of the McCormick X8 VT-Drive tractor can satisfy the requirements of even the most sophisticated buyer.

Design by the renowned FABIO LEONARDI, McCormick RED signature color scheme, panoramic lighting, a comfortable sprung cabin, wide front and rear wings, heating for the engine cylinder block cooling jacket, fuel separator filter, air filter with an ejector for dust removal, flash beacons, panoramic rear view mirrors, a rear window wiper - all that does not make this list complete. A lot more base configuration tractor equipment is available to the buyer.

The base configuration of the McCormick X8 VT-Drive tractor includes 18 work lights with halogen lamps:
— 10 lights around the perimeter of the cabin roof;
— 4 lights on the hood;
— 4 lights on the cabin pillars.

A package of 20 LED work lights is available as an option.

ENGINE

All McCormick X8 VT-Drive tractors in PREMIUM and EFFICIENT versions are equipped with NEF 67 engines from the world's leading manufacturer FPT. These engines have proven to be reliable and low-maintenance in Russian operating conditions.

The engine is equipped with:
— an eVGT turbine with variable blade geometry;
— a fuel filter with a pre-cleaning system and a water separator;
— visco coupling of the cooling fan with electronic control;
— an electric heater of the cylinder block cooling system (operating voltage 220V);
— an air purification system with an ejector.

The 6-cylinder engine of the X8 VT-Drive tractor has a volume of 6.7 liters and produces 1282 Nm of torque, as well as a maximum power output of 343 hp.

To facilitate access during maintenance, all radiators and the pressurized air cooler are positioned in close proximity to each other and pop up for cleaning.

VT-DRIVE TRANSMISSION

COMPACT DIMENSIONS AND A HIGH MARGIN OF SAFETY

The VT-Drive is a continuously variable 4-range gearbox that provides maximum traction power over the entire speed spectrum.

The transmission has compact dimensions and a high margin of safety. Owing to that, the X7.6 VT-Drive series tractors can pull a maximum weight of 13 tons.

The maximum transmission speed is limited to 40 km/h. The minimum speed is 40 m/h.

A radar-type sensor is used to monitor the real speed of the tractor.

The VT-Drive transmission is equipped with automatically controlled electro-hydraulic locking of the rear and front axle differentials.

TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODES

AUTO MODE
The electronics automatically adjust the engine speed and transmission ratios to achieve the speed you set.

MANUAL MODE
Set the desired engine rpm, and the electronics will independently change the transmission ratios to achieve the speed you set.

PTO MODE
Turn on the power take-off shaft, set the desired engine rpm, the electronics will independently change the transmission ratios to achieve the speed you set.

CRUISE MODE
Set the required driving speed, the electronics will keep it constant.

A COMPACT RIGID-STRUCTURE CHASSIS

The wheelbase of the X8 tractor is 3000 cm.

The rear axle is equipped with an electronic differential lock and an automatic four-wheel drive control system.

The front axle has an electronic 100% differential lock and can withstand a load of 8000 kg.

The rear axle can withstand a load of 11500 kg.

All tractors of the X8 series use a dual-circuit CCLS class hydraulic system with an axial piston pump.

Both EFFICIENT and PREMIUM versions come with a pump operating at 212 l/min (a 160 l/min option is available).

The steering system has a separate pump operating at 115 l/min.

The basic configuration of both EFFICIENT and PREMIUM tractor versions includes 4 pairs of electronically controlled distribution valves with a capacity of 100 l/min.

If desired, up to 6 pairs of valves can be installed.

All machines have Power Beyond direct flow and reverse drain lines.

The hydraulic system has a separate 90-liter oil tank.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE HYDRAULICS

A POWERFUL REAR HITCH

All McCormick tractors of the X8 VT-Drive series are equipped with a category 4N rear hitch with powerful hydraulic cylinders that are 120 mm in diameter and provide a load capacity of 12000 kg.

On the wings there are additional keys for controlling the hitch and the PTO.

A height-adjustable tow hitch is installed on the tractor for transport operations, and a rotary traction bar with a 50 mm pin is installed for working with field implements.

Lower levers are equipped with quick-release hinges.

The PREMIUM X8 tractors in base configuration are outfitted with a category 3 front hitch that has a load capacity of 5000 kg.

RELIABLE PTO

All McCormick tractors of the X8 VT-Drive series are equipped with a 2-speed PTO that operates in three modes:
— 540 ECO;
— 1000;
— 1000 ECO.

The PTO operates under electrohydraulic control.

The basic configuration includes two removable flange-type shanks:
— a shaft with a diameter of 1’ 3/8” by 21 slots;
— a shaft with a diameter of 1’ 3/8” by 6 slots.

Automatic on/off functionality for both the front and the rear PTO is also included into the basic configuration.

DUAL TYRES (OPTION)

It is possible to retrofit the tractor with smooth semi-axles and hubs with cast-iron spacers to install additional external wheels.

FRONT PTO (OPTION)

McCormick X8 series PREMIUM tractors can be retrofitted with a 1000 rpm front PTO.

The shaft shank in its basic configuration has 6 slots and a diameter of 1’ 3/8”.
